Fear is not my future

This song has been on repeat for me for the past month or so. I would encourage you to spend 8+ minutes to worship and listen to this song.

Fear is not my future
You are (You are), You are (You are)
Sickness is not my story
You are (You are), You are (You are)
Heartbreak’s not my home
You are (You are), You are
Death is not the end
Jesus, You are (You are), You are.

It reminds me that despite my fear, sickness in my loved ones, the heartbreak I feel, and the death I so dread is not the end of the story, and in fact, despite all of those things, I know that there is a bigger story – a better story for me and my loved ones. It is true even today, and into eternity.

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.  For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.  For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope  that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. Romans 8:18-21
